Wings of Light

This is a photograph of a firefly (Photinus pyralis) in flight. I took the photo in my garden with a flash and a macro lens. I had to approach the firefly slowly, but then quickly take a few shots as the lightning bug got to the right distance from my camera, about 10 inches. Fairfield, Iowa.
