This is my favorite shot of the year so far, fireflies, stars, and a meteor. I spent several nights searching for a good concentration of fireflies, and then I discovered this spot where they were absolutely fantastic, sparkling brightly under Polaris, the North Star. The final image is a composite of 1200 photos taken over two hours and twenty minutes, ending at 2 a.m. Fairfield, Iowa.
