Last several nights I spent photographing fireflies in flight. This is not an easy task. While most of my photography of fireflies is without additional light, this time I had to use flash to "freeze" their motion in flight. It is quite fun to do, chasing fireflies in my yard with a small frame in front of my camera, just to get them in the right distance from camera. Capturing the firefly glow of a firefly in flight is even more difficult, catching the right moment. Fairfield, Iowa.
